Letter from WOIPFG's President to the Members of the Judiciary Committee Xxxxxx Dear Senator/Representative Xxxxxx. I am writing with regard to the Anti-Atrocity Alien Deportation Act of 2003, which supports the cause of human rights and justice. I am also writing to tell you about the work of the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG). I would like to learn how the Anti-Atrocity Alien Deportation Act could help end China's persecution of Falun Gong and bring the perpetrators to justice. Since outlawing Falun Gong in July 1999, the Jiang Zemin regime has
systematically attempted to eradicate the practice of Falun Gong by
subjecting practitioners to forced labor, torture, and even murder.
These gross injustices have been well documented by Amnesty International,
Human Rights Watch, and the United Nations Commission on Human Rights.
Also, the US Congress has taken a clear stand against the prosecution,
with its unanimous passage of H.R. 188, which also addresses the on-going
harassment of Falun Gong practitioners on U.S. soil. I would like to know: * Under the proposed Anti-Atrocity Alien Deportation Act, will individuals who are responsible for the persecution of Falun Gong be denied entry to the U.S., and if they are already in the U.S., will they be expelled? * What procedures will be required for implementing the act against individuals who have committed atrocities against Falun Gong? Please note: WOIPFG stands ready to present a list of wrong doers and the crimes they have committed. Where should this information be sent to? * When do you expect the Anti-Atrocity Alien Deportation Act to be brought to the floor for a vote? Just the fact that the U.S. Senate and House are considering this legislation
is already having a positive impact. WOIPFG investigations inside China
indicate that many Chinese officials who visit the United States come
with an ulterior motive - to escape future reprisals from their own
people for their role in the persecution. WOIPFG's mission is to investigate and bring to justice individuals and organizations involved in the persecution of Falun Gong. I look forward to learning how the Anti-Atrocity Alien Deportation Act can help WOIPFG fulfill its mission. Thank you for considering this important legislation. Sincerely,
John Jaw, President |
