Chen Guoyong
Summary: Chen Guoyong, male, born on September 9, 1971. Director and Chief Surgeon of the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Transplantation Surgery Department at Henan Provincial People's Hospital. Former Vice President and Chief Surgeon of Zhengzhou People's Hospital, Director of Liver Transplantation, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery. He was once appointed as the Deputy Director of the Organ Transplant Center of the PLA’s 309 Hospital. As of 2014, he had performed over 500 combined large organ extractions, over 500 kidney transplants, over 100 liver transplants, and 10 each of combined liver-kidney and pancreas-kidney transplants. According to public data from the 2011 Zhengzhou People's Hospital official website, the hospital's liver surgery department completed nearly 100 liver transplants annually, with over 20 emergency liver transplants each year, all for patients with acute liver failure. Investigations by the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) into Zhengzhou People's Hospital revealed: numerous donors, short waiting times, sometimes as short as 2 to 3 days, and the availability of young, healthy donors.
In view of the broader background of the Chinese Communist Party's state crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, and since Henan Provincial People's Hospital is allegedly involved in the crime, Chen Guoyong, the director of the hospital's Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Transplantation Surgery Department, is a major suspect.
