Job Titles: Xia Qiang is director, chief physician, and professor of Renji Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He is also vice-chairman of Shanghai Medical Association-Organ Transplantation Branch and Shanghai Society of Immunology-Transplantation Immunology Branch, member of China Society of Immunology-Transplantation Immunology Branch, and member of China Medical Association-Surgery Branch-Organ Transplantation Group.[1]  The Hepatobiliary Surgery Division he leads is now the organ transplantation center with the most liver transplants and highest outpatient volume in China.  It had been ranked first in Shanghai for the number of liver transplants for seven consecutive years and first in China between 2011 and 2013.[2] "How many cases of liver transplantations has Xia Qiang done? He himself couldn’t even count them. He could only remember that his highest record was six cases of liver transplantations completed within one day.”[3]
