Li Jianjun
Summary: Li Jianjun, Director of the Kidney Transplant Department and Chief Surgeon at The Second Affiliated Hospital of the University of South China, has performed over 1,500 kidney transplant surgeries as the primary surgeon. The Urology Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of the University of South China is currently one of the largest urological diagnosis and treatment centers in Hunan Province. In view of the broader background of the Chinese Communist Party's state crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, and since the Second Affiliated Hospital of the University of South China is allegedly involved in the crime, Li Jianjun, the director of the hospital's Kidney Transplant Department, is a major suspect.
Li Jianjun, Chief Surgeon, Associate Professor, and Master's Supervisor, serves as the Discipline Director and Director of the Kidney Transplant Department at The Second Affiliated Hospital of the University of South China, as well as the Deputy Director of the Urology and Organ Transplant Research Institute.
He is a leading figure in Urology and a national youth committee member of the Organ Transplantation Branch of the Chinese Medical Association. Li Jianjun is the only surgeon in the Xiangnan region qualified to perform both liver and kidney transplants[1]. He has performed over 1,500 kidney transplant surgeries as the primary surgeon[2].
The Urology Department at The Second Affiliated Hospital of the University of South China is a key discipline at both the university and hospital levels. It is also a key specialty recognized by the Hunan Provincial Health Department and serves as a training base for master's degree students in surgery at the University of South China. It is one of the largest urological diagnosis and treatment centers in Hunan Province. Since 1998, the department has routinely performed allogeneic cadaveric kidney transplants, completing over 2,000 cases to date[3].
